“Passages” Show starting this weekend

There is SO MUCH to do this weekend in Columbus, Ohio!!!  In Dublin there is the one and only Dublin Irish Festival from Friday through Sunday evening.  There is the continual Art Stroll in Historic Dublin and the “Irish Art” show at the Dublin Community Rec. Center.  The Ohio State Fair is this weekend, and Downtown Columbus is hosting it’s monthly Gallery Hop in the Short North.  I think I’d mentioned in a previous post that both of my entries into the “Passages” theme show were accepted.  The Hop is on Saturday (but we are hosting a BBQ for college alum) and there is a specific reception on Sunday from 2 – 4 PM for the artists accepted into this one time show.  If you are out and about on either day, or at any point in August – stop in to see the show and the Gallery.

Studios On High is an artist’s coop, consisting of artists who operate and show there each month for a fee.  They have ebbed and flowed for several decades, giving many artists a home in the desirable Short North Art Community.  Check out the postcard – they must have really liked my encaustic piece…Woohoo!

Giving Her Wings To Fly is one of the pieces accepted into the show.
